At Louisiana Cardiovascular & Thoracic Institute’s Vascular Diagnostic Lab, our expertise, state-of-the-art technology and service-minded approach encourages physicians throughout the central Louisiana region to refer to us with confidence.
Stacey Perrodin, RVT, RDMS, RDCS, is our technical director. She has over a decade of experience specifically in vascular mapping and diagnostics. Stacey is also certified in vascular and cardiac sonography, among others. Like each member of our team, she is also dedicated to caring for your patient with warmth, personal attention and compassion.
She takes time to explain everything to patients, answers all their questions and lets them know how important it is to see their own doctors for follow-up.

Our lab is home to the latest in diagnostic ultrasound imaging. We’ve invested in advanced technology that provides premium image quality across grayscale, color Doppler, power Doppler and pulsed Doppler applications. This includes:
• Abdominal aortic ultrasound to evaluate patients at risk for abdominal aortic aneurysm
• Arterial ultrasound for the upper & lower extremities
• Bypass graft color ultrasound
• Carotid ultrasound
• Aortic ultrasound
• Peripheral vascular screening with ankle/brachial indices
• Renal artery ultrasound
• Transcranial ultrasound
• Venous ultrasound for the upper & lower extremities
Central LA’ first school of cardiovascular ultrasound.
We are also home to the first school of cardiovascular ultrasound in Central LA. This two-year program prepares students to become registered vascular ultrasonographers.
Screening and patient support services.
We’re pleased to offer your asymptomatic patients low-cost screening examinations. Those who are at risk for cerebrovascular disease, peripheral vascular disease or abdominal aortic aneurysm because of age, family history, smoking or diabetes can be evaluated quickly and easily in our lab.
Patients who see us for screening are also given a free consultation and are strongly encouraged to share their exam results with their primary-care physicians.
